JAKARTA – Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin currently serves as President of the Russian Federation. He became one of the influential figures in the world who are respected by world leaders.
Throughout his leadership in Russia, this former KGB agent was quite attached to conflict. Most recently, he launched an invasion of Ukraine under the pretext of demilitarization.
However, despite the number of controversies he has created, Putin is known to have quite good relations with Muslims in Russia.
Not infrequently, a number of his policies also show how much he appreciates their existence.

1. Recognizing Islam as Part of Russian History
Since coming to power in Russia, Vladimir Putin is known to have a different approach to Muslims when compared to previous leaders.

In addition, Putin also said that he would not allow friendship between Russian ethnic groups to be damaged by irresponsible parties.
