Schoolgirl hit and killed by car after gang rape
Horror in the USA where a nineteen-year-old student was hit and killed by a car after being abandoned on the street following a gang rape.
The story dates back to January 15 with those responsible who were arrested a few days ago. According to what has been reconstructed, Madison Brooks, this is the name of the victim, was raped in a car and then abandoned on the street in a state of shock near Baton Rouge, near the campus of the Louisiana State University where she studied, where she was later run over and killed by a passing vehicle.
4 young people were arrested for the crime: a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old accused of raping the young woman by taking advantage of her semi-conscious state due to alcohol, and an 18-year-old and a 28-year-old, who were in the same car where the violence took place, but that they would not have directly participated in the rape.
The boys claim that they did not rape the victim, but that they had consensual relations with her. According to what they reported, they met the girl in a bar and then convinced her to follow them in a car in which she voluntarily got on.
According to the testimony of one of the boys who witnessed the rape, however, the 19-year-old was unable to “keep her balance” and “speak clearly without confusing her words” due to alcohol.
After the violence, therefore, the four abandoned the young woman in a state of semi-consciousness in the street where the 19-year-old was subsequently run over.
Under Louisiana law, the crime of rape also occurs when the victim is “unable to understand the nature of the act due to an abnormal mental condition produced by an intoxicating agent or any other cause and the perpetrator knew or should have known of the victim’s incapacity”.
