Pokémon Scarlet & Violet debuted a few days ago, and certainly first impressions are far from positive. While the community praises various aspects of the experience such as exploration and story arc, complaints about poor performance and numerous bugs were not long in coming. Along these lines, Alexelcapo stated that the games make him nauseated. And yes, die-hard fans of the franchise raged.
Through a Twitter thread, the popular Spanish streamer stated that the new Game Freak video games made him feel bad physically. The reason? The frame rate issues made him dizzy and he likens the experience to playing a VR title like Boneworks.
It’s not a joke, it’s so bad and the framerate is so bad that I’ve gotten dizzy and I want to vomit. It happened to me with boneworks in VR for other reasons and it has happened to me a few times in my life.
In short, it is what it is. It’s that bad.

These statements generated controversy on social networks, as a sector of the community considered that Alexelcapo launched a harsh criticism of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and the franchise in general.
“How exaggerated. Suffice it to say that it has many errors and that’s it, but to say that it literally made you sick and caused physical discomfort? “Commented an Internet user. “Don’t make an excuse that this is from old age. Stop being toxic and learn to enjoy a game even if it goes badly or has bad graphics, and learn to value the work behind these types of games”, commented another user.

Does Alexelcapo exaggerate? The reason why Pokémon Scarlet & Violet make you dizzy
In the original thread, the Spanish streamer stated that other proposals such as the original installment of The Last of Us, Boneworks and Wolfenstein made him dizzy. Right away, he points out that this happens to him due to Motion Sickenss (Kinetosis or kinetic dizziness in Spanish), a disorder that is caused by unusual movements and causes headaches, nausea and stomach upset.
Even Alexelcapo claims that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet look better than Arceus or any title in the franchise in recent years, but claims that he is “unable to play it like this”.

Given the negative reactions that his words caused, the content creator came to his defense and once again stated that he did not criticize the video games of The Pokémon Company and Game Freak, and emphasized that he suffers from motion sickness.
“The fact that they insult me because some games cause me Motion Sickness (Motion Sickness in Spanish in case you want to know) is a new level of baseness of this dump called the social network,” commented the streamer.

“I literally said that the game made me dizzy, that it looked better than Arceus and seemed better than the last games in the series. You are very stupid. And you especially. You adore a saga so much that you don’t waste 2 minutes to see what I really said,” Alexelcapo replied to an Internet user.
It is clear that the influencer’s intention was never to insult Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, although a sector of the community saw it that way. Of course, this controversy served to give more visibility to motion sickness, a medical condition that often goes unnoticed.
But tell us, what do you think of this situation? Do you suffer from Motion Sickness? Let us read you in the comments.
