That says Houwina Postma of SAR Netherlands to RTL Nieuws. “We are currently looking between Raamsdonksveer and Vught and we are taking all roads in between.”
Police issued an Amber Alert for 10-year-old Hebe this morning. She was last seen in Raamsdonksveer, she may be in mortal danger. The girl has multiple disabilities and needs care, according to the police.
At the end of the afternoon, 26-year-old Sanne from Den Bosch picked up Hebe at ‘t Overstapje, an orthopedic day center in Raamsdonksveer. They were supposed to go to Hebe’s house in Vught in a black Kia Picanto with registration number PR425K, but never got there.
‘Watch out for noticeable tracks’
“We, like the police, take every scenario into account. But for now I call on everyone who is outside to look out for striking traces,” says Postma. “Think of broken branches on the highway. It may be that the car has run off the road between two trees and that you cannot see it from the highway. Such a track is then important.”
“Also keep an eye out for skid marks, for example. And if you see something, report it to the police. Do not walk in those tracks yourself, because every detail can be important in this very worrying missing person.”
More people this afternoon
A group of SAR Netherlands has been working all morning on the search, they mainly drive down roads and walk the route from Raamsdonksveer to Vught with a number of people. “A new team will join this afternoon. And if necessary, new people will also be available tonight.”
Friends and acquaintances of Hebe’s family have also been engaged in a search since last night. For example, they have created a WhatsApp group in which people share, among other things, the routes they have already searched. In this group, the search is mainly on country roads between Vught and daytime activities ‘t Overstapje.
Police cannot say where they are looking for the two. They have also not been able to provide more information about the disappearance so far.
