With a home run by Bernardo Heras and a plausible opening by Alexander Chavez on the mound, mariachis closed the regular season defeating 6-3 to Sultans of Monterey.

The ninth Guadalajara thus cut the streak of six consecutive losses and avoided the sweep in the Sultan Palace after falling in the first two games of the series.
SEASON FOR FORGETTING
Today’s victory in no way erases the disastrous year of the team from Guadalajara. mariachis lost 18 of its last 21 games and closed as the third worst record in the entire Liga.
They were indebted to their fans. They lost their last nine games in the Pan American Stadium. But in addition, they finished with a losing record at home with 20 wins and 25 defeats.
