It is said that in summer the quality of television programming drops significantly. And of course RTVE has given us a good example of this by presenting Mapia virtual girl who will accompany Jandro in the new summer program that starts this Monday, August 1, 2022 on La 1.
Via Twitter, RTVE has released a video where the virtual girl Mapi has been presented in society although, taking into account that the character is designed for children, it is not a very good vibe. If you haven’t seen the video yet, we’ll leave it to you right below.

Mapi is a contest that adapts the Japanese version of Chiko’s Challenge and will pit a group of celebrities against the girl’s peculiar questions about logic and ingenuity that also have their complexity, such as “why is the sky blue?” .
The “funny” of the program is that Mapi will be present in real time with the actress Carla Pulpón giving voice to the girl thanks to 3D augmented reality technology that, by capturing facial movement and a multi-camera system, will transfer the gestures and Mapi’s movements to the set.
If you often watch series when traveling or in various parts of the house, these tablets can be good companions for entertainment consumption.
However, Mapi’s sinister appearance (and for some reason she speaks like Belén Esteban) has caused people flood social networks with memes making fun of the character.
Within all the jokes that circulate on Twitterwithout a doubt one of the most hilarious comparisons has been with this mythical episode of The Simpsons.
-Hello Twitter! I’m Mapi, the new star of RTVE!
-Hey! Which is nothing more than a vtuber model!
-¡AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! https://t.co/QbsOhhPTsk pic.twitter.com/IpVbOxoPNF

In case you are curious about what this RTVE invention will be like, The Mapi contest will premiere on August 1, 2022 and will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday at 9:50 p.m. on La 1.
