It seemed quite difficult to make a new Predator movie that would interest the public again, but it seems that Dan Trachtenberg has achieved it with Prey, his new film that moves the fight for the survival of humanity against the alien to 300 years ago and in Comanche territory.
In fact, heThe film includes several Native American actors like Stormee Kipp, Stefany Mathias, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope, including its leading lady Amber Midthunder, who is of native Mexican descent. A mix that has left the lucky ones who have had the opportunity to see it amazed.
First preview of Prey, the prequel film of the Predator saga for Hulu
“Prey is my favorite Predator movie. (Said by someone who is a huge fan of the original as well as the 2010 film). I love that the story is such a deeply personal journey fueled by Comanche lore as well as the emotions elicited by the Predator himself,” Perri Nemiroff of Collider.
“Prey is, in fact, the best Predator movie since Predator. All praise to Amber Midthunder who eats up the screen fighting her alien enemy. It returns to the gory basics of a thrilling hunt that offers everything I look for in a Predator movie and to its brutally primitive glory.” Matt Donato of Slashfilm.
This is the best Predator cosplay you’ll ever see, complete with movable jaws!
“Prey kills. (That exist?) Dan Trachtenberg has created a clever reinvention of the franchise and a touching and beautifully photographed coming of age story (Amber Midthunder is great), with lots of gore and super entertaining monster mayhem. I was hoping to enjoy it but I’ve come to love it,” Drew Taylor of The Wrap.
Some surprising reviews for a film that is not going to go to theaters, well Prey is coming straight to TV since it has been produced by Hulu, where it will be seen from next August 5, and outside the United States, it can be seen from the same date on Disney +.
