Yesterday we let you know how the Wowhead folks discovered that recently added files had been added for the beta on Diablo IV in the Battle.net Launcher. After the news broke, however, he was the GM of the Diablo franchise at Blizzard, Rod Fergusson, who made it known that that beta is for internal testing only. These are the words of him, via Twitter:
Hi everyone, I love all the energy and excitement of a Diablo IV Beta coming to Battle.net. but you should know that this is only an internal test. I’m sorry! We will have more public tests in the future as we continue on the path to delivery in 2023!
We will therefore see when the public tests arrive in the future, probably therefore not in the short term, according to the words of Fergusson.
