The Powerpuff Girls will also have, in addition, a live action series that has been preparing for some time
The legendary series The Super Chickscreated by Craig McCreaken, has undergone several reimaginings with greater and lesser success, but far from its creator. In 2005 the original series came to an end and with it McCreaken’s involvement, although that will change according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to the online medium, the series will suffer a reboot from the original creator and will do it together with Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. Sam Register, president of Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros. Animation and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe has spoken about the return of McCreaken:
Craig’s return to Hanna-Barbera was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. Along with his unrivaled sense of fun and imagination, he brings two of his best works in The Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends and we’re so excited to have these characters be part of the new legacy taking shape at the studio.
We still do not know when this reboot will happen, although soon we will be able to enjoy the new live action series.
