Steam has given us a better idea of when players will have Sonic Frontiers in your hands, as the game’s release date was changed from September 1 to November 8.
Most of this year’s biggest hits have finally revealed their release dates, but Sonic Frontiers is one of the biggest titles yet to let fans know when it will be released.
However, we now have evidence that a potential announcement is imminent, as the SteamDB page for Sonic Frontiers updated the game’s release date to November 8.
It’s worth noting that an updated release date in SteamDB does not necessarily confirm that a game will be released on that day.
Publishers must provide a release date to have their games on Steamso some may choose to use placeholders until they’re ready to reveal a permanent release date.
Although, the updated release date of Sonic Frontiers aligns with the game’s previously announced “holiday” release plans.
If the release date of November 8 is accurate, then Sega has decided to dip into one of the biggest games of the year.
God of War: Ragnarok will be released on November 9, and with Skull and Bones on November 8, Sonic will have some pretty tough competition to overcome if the release date proves to be genuine.
We may not know a release date just yet, but the head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka recently revealed some more details about the game, as well as the series. Sonic as a whole, in a quick new interview.
