Welcome to the Halo Infinite Network Co-op Campaign Beta. We are so excited that players can join the Halo Infinite campaign with up to three friends and experience the battle of Master Chief against the Banished.
The Beta will take place from July 15 to August 1 and will be available to play from any point during this time window. The beta is available to Xbox players who have signed up for the Xbox Insider Program, and players on Steam who signed up for the Xbox Insider Program before July 11. Although Xbox players will be able to access the Beta during this time once they have signed up for the Xbox Insider Program and the build is downloaded, we will not be able to add additional players on Steam. Use Halo Waypoint as a hub for all things Beta.
To download the build on Xbox, please follow these instructions. To download on Steam, if eligible, you will have received an invite to join at the email address associated with your Halo Insider profile, or check your Halo Insider profile on Halo Waypoint.
Go to the Xbox Insider Hub under the “Apps” tab under “Games & Apps” on the Xbox Dashboard. If you don’t have it downloaded, search for the Xbox Insider Hub in the store, or follow these instructions if you need to sign up. From the Insider Hub, go to the “Previews” tab on the left side of the screen. Once there, head over to the “Halo Infinite – Insider” page, where you can join the show. After joining, you will be redirected to the store page to download the build. Once downloaded, the build will be available to play from the Home page or the “Games” tab, followed by “Games & Apps”. In case you are prompted for an update, turn off your Xbox console completely and turn it back on, the update should be available once it has restarted.
Please note that the Halo Infinite co-op campaign beta features a version of the game in development that is not necessarily representative of the final experience. and is subject to change over time. This Beta is critical to allowing 343 to test co-op networking on a large scale with a large number of concurrent players, so expect some level of instability and crashes during its run.
While you’ll be able to write, stream, and capture Beta content, we hope you’ll keep the following considerations in mind for your coverage. Here are more details about the coverage:
Confidentiality agreement: There is no NDA for coverage of the co-op campaign beta, so you will be able to post written and editorial video coverage of your experience, gameplay streams, VOD, and Podcasts. However, given the in-progress status of the content you will be playing, we ask that you refrain from posting “review in progress” content or simulated coverage of your experience.
Broadcast and VOD: You will be able to stream and create VOD content without any restrictions on the co-op campaign beta.
Problem solving: In case you experience problems accessing the beta, please contact your RP representative.
Note: There are no plans for a formal preview for the co-op campaign prior to launch.
We invite you to check out last month’s Halo Waypoint blog for all the Beta details and content, as well as to follow the Halo Waypoint accounts. @Halo y @HaloSupport for the latest updates.
