The latest Inazuma Eleven offshoot is clearly in trouble, no need for insider insight. The game was announced in 2016 and originally planned for spring 2019 – it was going to be called Inazuma Eleven Ares. Since then it has obviously been in the famous development hell.
It was later separated from the anime content, renamed Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes, and eventually shelved in favor of Yo-kai Watch. It was put on hold. But level-5 and Akihiro Hino are durable and tough it seems.
The Level-5 CEO reported now Twitter. Next week they want to release information about the new Inazuma Eleven in the form of a new and updated developer blog. Hino thanks the fans for their patience.
He also showed an artwork. The main character is obviously still the same. What else has changed about the game over the years is hard to say. We are curious. The gameplay that showed Hino 2020 doesn’t look bad at all.
