The second heat wave of the summer is approaching. Not even the north is spared, nor are the Sanfermines. In Pamplona they will already be in 36th at the beginning of next week. This weekend it will not be extended to so many areas of Spain, since the most notorious rise will be registered from next week.
Galicia will begin to notice it already. The Aemet has activated a yellow warning for heat in Ourense and the Rías Baixas. In the Canary Islands they got rid of the first heat wave in June but not this one. The Government of the Canary Islands has decreed a heat alert throughout the archipelago and in the westernmost islands that alert has also been extended due to the risk of fire. The heat will exceed 40 degrees. The health authorities remind us of the importance of staying hydrated and not being exposed to the sun during the sun’s hottest hours.
Temperatures will be above the usual ones on these dates in the Canary Islands, western Andalusia, Extremadura and Galicia. On Saturday this rise extends to other areas although in the Mediterranean it is expected that the heat will not be excessive.
“The heat will be concentrated in the center of the Peninsula exceeding 40º”
Tomorrow, Saturday, the heat increases and extends to the extreme north. On Sunday they turn the thermostat again and they will be placed at 29º in Oviedo 29, in Logroño they will not exceed 35 and in the Ebro Valley and Zaragoza they will remain at 37º.
Already during the whole week that comes the heat is concentrated in the center of the Peninsula. In Extremadura, Castilla La Mancha, Andalusia, the Canary Islands and Madrid they will reach 40º until next Sunday.
