Representatives of public sector workers and the Government reached an agreement so that state employees receive a bonus of S / 550. Both parties signed an agreement on June 30, which also details an increase in their remuneration. Such pact is historic, since it is the first time that a collective bargaining achieves improvements of an economic nature.
About 565,000 workers will benefit from this agreement, which would have a fiscal cost of S/ 830 million. To comply with the details of the agreement, the State will have S / 514 million available every year, since it has a permanent nature.
“This is a collective agreement whose coverage is unprecedented in the State’s collective bargaining,” said labor lawyer Ricardo Herrera, since previously economic terms could not be negotiated.

How do I know if I get the bonus for public sector workers?

When is the S/ 550 bonus charged for the public sector?
The S/ 550 bonus agreed between public sector workers and the State will be delivered in December 2022. For this point of the agreement, S/ 316 million of national resources will be allocated, which has the backing of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
The next step in the process is to negotiate in a decentralized manner through the unions of each institution. How much is the July bonus?
The amount of the bonus is equivalent to the last monthly remuneration received by the worker. AFP, ONP or insurance expenses will not be deducted from this balance.
