Bright Memory Infinite doesn’t look like a typical indie game. In fact, it looks more like a cutting-edge graphical first-person shooter AAA, a la Crysis. However, it is a game created by a single person in his spare time, a Chinese developer who signs as FTQD Personal Studio.
Some may remember it because it was one of the first games to be announced for Xbox Series X, and its graphics, pushing Unreal Engine 4 to the limit, were a good showcase of the console’s power.
Publisher Playism has confirmed that Bright Memory Infinite will be released on July 21 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. It’s out now on PC, and there will be no PS4 and Xbox One versions.

But, didn’t it already come out on Xbox Series X? Indeed, Bright Memory was one of the console’s launch games in November 2020, but only its first chapter. It was a short but intense experience… and also imprecise.
Bright Memory Infinite includes a much longer story, and was released on Steam and GOG in November 2021. Now, it confirms its release on consoles on July 21, at the same time on Xbox Series X|S, PS5 y Nintendo Switchdispensing with the old generation.

In the press release (via Gematsu) they confirm that in Xbox Series X and PS5 will move at 60 fps with ray tracing, and there will be a 120fps performance mode. On PS5 it also uses the functions of the Dualsense controller such as adaptive triggers.
Secondly, the nintendo switch version it uses an anti-aliasing system to make the game look pretty, as well as motion controls (and it’s a native version, not cloud based).

Set in the year 2036, we play an agent of the SRO, an agency that investigates the supernatural, when monsters from a remote time, inspired by Chinese mythology, begin to appear.
The gameplay mixes first person shooter with hack ‘n’ slash katana action, parries included, in something that feels like Crysis, DOOM or Devil May Cry at the same time, in a very acrobatic gameplay.
