Rapper Lil Tjay was shot multiple times and another man was injured in a robbery attempt in New Jersey Wednesday morning. The two scenes were about half a mile apart. As reported by ‘CBS New York’, the shooting took place in a crowded shopping center on River Road. Shortly after midnight the police received a phone call in which a 21-year-old man was hit by a gunshot. Police said the other victim was found down the street at a gas station. Sources from Tmz say the artist underwent surgery and left the operating room around 10 am yesterday. The rapper would be better off but his conditions still don’t seem reassuring. The Bergen County Attorney’s Office said the shooting was the result of a robbery attempt, adding that three arrests were made. Mohamed Konate, 27, was charged with attempted murder and armed robbery. The man was arrested in the city and is awaiting extradition. Prosecutors said the two men who were with Lil TJay during the shooting were also arrested for illegal possession of a weapon and are now being held in jail awaiting their first court appearance. Rapper French Montana, close to Lil Tjay, tweeted asking his fans to pray for the boy.
