Although ‘Emilia Auto’ sounds as Italian as ‘Frutti di Mare’, we are dealing with a German company here. In the fall, Emilia Auto released the first drawings of the GT Veloce, a restomod based on the Giulia GT of yesteryear. Emilia Auto is now sending us new images of the GT Veloce which show that the company has not been idle in recent months. Emilia GT Veloce The Giulia Veloce that Emilia Auto is now showing has a modified hood, new side mirrors, number plates and new wheels with larger openings to properly cool the brakes. Although it’s not directly visible from these images, Emilia Auto stretched the Giulia Veloce by 5 centimeters at the front to make room for the two intercoolers of the biturbo V6. Yes, Emilia Auto casually spoons the six-cylinder from the Giulia Q into the front of the GT Veloce. In addition, the six-cylinder is whipped up to 540 hp and thus delivers the 2.9 as much power as in the Giulia GTA. The approximately 1,250 kilo Emilia GT Veloce is of course more than a classic Giulia with a modern V6. In fact, Emilia Auto places the body of a Giulia GT on a completely new spaceframe. For example, Emilia’s creation has an interior that simultaneously breathes the atmosphere of the present and the past. The cars will have an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, the instruments of the current Giulia, air conditioning and electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors. LED lighting all around is included, the same applies to ESP. Emilia Auto says that it has run into production problems in recent times. Not entirely surprising. However, the company hopes to deliver its first GT Veloce this year. Ultimately, it should be possible to build 1 or 2 copies every month. There are still a few production spots available, although you have to bring about € 400,000 to get one.
