I’m 56,166 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, 23 June 2022according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also another 75 deaths. In the last 24 hours, 248,042 swabs, including molecular and antigenic swabs, were processed, with a positivity rate that rises to 22.6%.
Ordinary hospitalizations increased (+117) compared to yesterday for a total of 5,064 patients. While the number of intensive care units is unchanged for a total of 216 patients and 31 admissions of the day.

EMILIA ROMAGNA – Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 1,537,383 cases of positivity have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 4,170 more than yesterday, out of a total of 16,657 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 9,081 molecular and 7,576 tests rapid antigenic. There are 5 deaths. These numbers do not include the Imola district, where it was not possible to load them due to IT problems. They will therefore be recovered and communicated in the next few days. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 25%. Patients currently admitted to intensive care in Emilia-Romagna are 28 (-1 compared to yesterday, -3%), the average age is 66.7 years. As for the patients hospitalized in the other Covid departments, there are 776 (+19 compared to yesterday, + 3%), average age 75.6 years.
The total number of people healed are 2,091 more than yesterday and reach 1,486,673. Unfortunately, there are 5 deaths: 1 in the province of Reggio Emilia (an 82-year-old woman); 1 in the province of Ferrara (a 99-year-old woman); 3 in the province of Ravenna (two women aged 64 and 73, a man aged 78). There are no deaths in the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Modena, Bologna, Forlì-Cesena and in the Imola district. In total, 17,057 deaths have been reported in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. At 2 pm a total of 10,573,071 doses were administered; out of the total 3,793,636 people over 12 who have completed the vaccination cycle, 94.4%. The additional doses made are 2,918,503.
TUSCANY – There are 3,316 new coronavirus infections today 23 June in Tuscany, according to data from the latest covid-19 bulletin. Another death is recorded. The new cases, 635 confirmed with molecular swab and 2,681 by rapid antigen test, bring the total to 1,186,243 from the beginning of the Coronavirus health emergency and are 0.3% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.1% and reached 1,139,643 (96.1% of total cases). Today 1,883 molecular swabs and 11,613 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 24.6% were positive. On the other hand, 4,354 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swab, excluding control swabs), of which 76.2% were positive. The currently positive today are 36,451, + 7.1% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 296 (stable compared to yesterday), of which 9 in intensive care (stable). Today there is 1 new death: an 84-year-old man. These are the data – ascertained at 12 today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region. The average age of 3,316 new positives today is approximately 46 years (9% are under 20, 26% between 20 and 39, 33% between 40 and 59, 24% between 60 and 79, 6% have 80 years or older).
SARDINIA – In Sardinia today there are 1,999 further confirmed cases of Covid positivity (of which 1,835 diagnosed as antigenic). A total of 6,057 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. There is also the death of a 73-year-old man residing in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. There are 8 patients admitted to intensive care units (same figure as yesterday). The patients admitted to the medical area are 104 (-5). There are 17595 cases of home isolation (+864).
CALABRIA – There are 1,178 new covid infections in Calabria according to today’s bulletin, 23 June. There are also another 2 deaths. 4,511 swabs performed, +764 healed, the total number of deaths in the region rises to 2,656 deaths. The bulletin also records +412 currently positive, -2 hospitalizations (for a total of 144) and, finally, +2 intensive care (for a total of 7).
ABRUZZO – There are 1,282 new positive cases of Covid recorded today in Abruzzo, bringing the total from the beginning of the emergency, net of realignments, to 42.0836. The death toll of patients records 1 new case (a 94 year old from the province of Teramo) and rises to 3,371. This was communicated by the Regional Health Department.
The number of positive cases also includes 39,6876 discharged / healed (+628 compared to yesterday). The currently positive are 20,589 (+653 compared to yesterday). Of these, 107 patients (-2 compared to yesterday) are hospitalized in the medical area; 3 (unchanged from yesterday) in intensive care, while the rest are in home isolation. In the last 24 hours, 2,137 molecular swabs were performed (2,363,521 in total since the start of the emergency) and 4,774 antigen tests (3,816,220). Of the total number of positive cases, 87,789 are resident or domiciled in the province of L’Aquila (+333 compared to yesterday), 119,985 in the province of Chieti (+329), 97445 in the province of Pescara (+246), 103,315 in the province of Teramo ( +278), 8,240 outside the region (+30) and 4,062 (+66) for which provenance checks are underway.
