As scheduled, this morning there was a Nintendo Direct focused on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, JRPG coming to Nintendo Switch at the end of July. The presentation delved into the history of this new installment and its protagonists.
To begin with we were reminded that the story of the game is related to the nations of Keves and Agnus. The first one is based on mechanical technology, so you have an army with powerful weapons and combat units.
On the other hand, Agnus is a place where ether prevails, a technology with magical characteristics. His army is confirmed by autonomous units powered by this element. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will introduce us to Noah, Eunie, Lanz, Mio, Taion and Sena, characters from both nations who will join forces to investigate the real reason for the conflict that begins between the two regions.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will have a huge world and a lot of action in its fights
The game world will be large in size, featuring various types of biomes and filled with many varieties of creatures. Players will be able to trace routes to follow specific missions and modify the time to alternate between day and night, which will bring differences to the game world.
Characters will have a particular class that will have specific attributes that will affect their performance, combat skills, and even their appearance. So party members will be able to fight in the roles of Sworfighter, Zephyr, Medic Gunner, Tactician, Heavy Guard and Ogre. It will be essential to know the benefits of each one and thus be able to combine them into more powerful abilities.
During the presentation it was also confirmed that an ally can join the battles to be the seventh character in the game and the Ouroboros forms were shown, transformations that will unite 2 protagonists and give them unique abilities that can even be further enhanced throughout of the adventure
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will offer DLC and amiibo support
Finally, it was confirmed that the game will have support for amiibo and an Expansion Pack that will offer various paid DLC. The Shulk figure will serve to unlock the iconic Monado sword. On the other hand, we know that the extra content pack will be offered for $29.99 USD and will initially offer various items and color variants for character outfits.
Several new outfits, battle challenges, more characters, and story DLC are also planned. The content will be released in waves on December 31, April 30, 2023, and December 31 of next year.
