ROME, June 22 – 53,905 new infections from Covid have been registered in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 62,704. The victims are instead 50, down from 62 yesterday. A total of 246,512 swabs were performed, including antigenic and molecular, with the positivity rate of 21.8%, stable compared to 21.4% yesterday. On the other hand, 216 patients are admitted to intensive care, 10 fewer than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits. The daily admissions are 36. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 4,947, or 144 more than yesterday. The current positives are 625,013, so 25,083 more in the last 24 hours. A total of 18,014,202 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths rise to 167,892. The discharged and healed are 17,221,297, with an increase of 29,740.
