The Seat Ibiza is back with a 150 hp 1.5 TSI. Seat introduces a special limited edition of the Ibiza called Sport, which will be at the top of the Ibiza range.
Recently, AutoWeek wrote about a new, special version of the Ibiza: the Ibiza Sport. Now Seat has presented the limited top version of its hatchback itself. As AutoWeek could already report, the temporarily available Ibiza Sport has a starting price of €29,950 and is therefore cheaper than the Ibiza with 110 hp 1.0 TSI in FR trim.
Seat gave the Ibiza a facelift last year. After that bijpunt session, not only the 1.6 TDI diesel engines, but also the 150 hp 1.5 TSI petrol engine were dropped. That 1.5 TSI now returns in a limited series of the Ibiza. It is not called Ibiza 1.5 TSI FR or FR Plus but Ibiza Sport. The 150 hp 1.5 four-cylinder engine is linked to a DSG7 automatic transmission and helps the Ibiza reach a speed of 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 216 km/h. In the 0-100 sprint, the 150 hp Ibiza is of course a lot faster than the Ibiza with the 110 hp 1.0 TSI and with the same transmission. In that form, the Ibiza needs 10 seconds to reach 100 km/h.

The Ibiza Sport stands on 17-inch light metal, has black exterior mirror caps and a diffuser in the same ‘colour’ at the bottom of the rear bumper. Fog lights are also standard. The Ibiza Sport includes sports seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an 8.25-inch infotainment system. Front Assist, Lane Assist and Fatigue Recognition are also part of the Sport party. The same applies to front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, climate control, LED interior lighting and illuminated edges around the ventilation grilles.
As mentioned, the Ibiza Sport costs €29,950, which makes it €600 cheaper than the Ibiza 1.0 TSI in FR outfit.
