Liverpool will extend the contracts of four players namely Joe Gomez, Diogo Jota, Naby Keita and Harvey Elliott. However, for Gomez, Liverpool are still considering various things.
After bringing in Darwin Nunez for a nominal £85 million from Benfica, Liverpool are now shifting their focus to their internal side by extending the contracts of several players.

As reported by the Mirror, Gomez actually still has a contract until 2024. However, he has the potential to leave the club if he doesn’t get the chance to play in the Liverpool first team.
Gomez, who can play in two positions, namely centre-back and right-back, was not Jurgen Klopp’s first choice. Gomez is now behind Van Dijk, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate.

In addition, during the last two seasons Gomez’s appearance has also been hindered by injury. Inevitably he only played 15 matches in the Premier League in two seasons. Will Gomez ultimately stay or choose to leave? Interesting to look forward to.
