Kylian Mbappe is still 23 years old, and he is still in excellent condition. Even so, the Paris Saint-Germain player actually had time to think about deciding to retire early from the French national team.
Mbappe came to mind like that, after Noel Le Graet as President of the FFF (French football association) expressed the disappointment of the former AS Monaco player when he received heavy criticism, after failing to execute a penalty in the round of 16 of the 2020 European Cup against Switzerland.
According to him, Mbappe was disappointed because the French public forgot his services when helping Les Bleus win the 2018 World Cup, and the lack of support from the federation also made him feel frustrated.
“I met him after the European Cup, he felt that the Federation did not defend him after missing the penalty and there was criticism of him,” said Le Graet of Goal.

“We met for five minutes in my office. He was angry and didn’t want to play for the French team anymore. You know how it is, Mbappe is a champion, he is very frustrated, like all of us (disappointed) because the team was eliminated,” he concluded.
Luckily, Mbappe did not make that decision and continues to defend France until now to look at the 2022 World Cup.
