Darko Churlinov did not consistently impress as a loan player at FC Schalke 04, but he delivered important scorers, especially in the final phase. Due to financial bottlenecks, however, S04 cannot afford a permanent commitment. VfB did not want to go on another loan without a subsequent purchase obligation, which is why the talks recently failed. Accordingly, the offensive player must now make the best of the situation and aim for a breakthrough with the Swabians.
The 21-year-old left winger could have easily imagined staying at Schalke, where he was well received by the fans and has also lived up to expectations in terms of performance. Now, however, the North Macedonian has opposite Sky confirms that his time at Schalke is very likely to be over.
“I really enjoyed the season and the promotion with Schalke 04 and the great fans, but if Schalke don’t come to an agreement with VfB and don’t want me to continue, then I’ll go back to VfB Stuttgart,” said the youngster Sky-Editor Florian Plettenberg quoted.
Even if the offensive player was largely denied a breakthrough in Stuttgart, he would like to do it again in the next few years.
“I still have two years of contract and will do my best there to meet the demands of VfB and the fans,” promised the 14-time international.
The Stuttgarters don’t actually have a classic left winger in their squad, which in principle would give Churlinov the opportunity to make a breakthrough.
