At CFMoto there is a project that we hadn’t heard of for a good year. This is the 300GT-e, the mignon version of the maxi tourer 1250 TR-G with which the Chinese company should have powered the state police: a compact motorcycle to switch between cars, comfortable for the rider, with all the necessary trappings. for the police officer (side cases, flashing lights, siren and so on) e especially electric.
The CFMoto 300GT-e was supposed to respond to an important order from the Chinese state of which, however, nothing more was known until a few days ago, when the Cycleworld colleagues published the diagrams of the “outside and inside” of the small tourer taken directly from the registered patents.
Beyond the aesthetics that confirm the shapes already seen, in which the most interesting and innovative part remains the front characterized by the adjustable windshield, the LED headlights and the presence of a camera between the two “eyes”, what most attracts the attention is certainly the structure that makes up the “mechanics” of the 300GT-e.
The liquid-cooled engine produces a maximum power of 18 kW for a maximum speed of 120 km / h; it is mounted in a central position, behind the battery pack and between the arms of the long swingarm, so as not to adversely affect the handling of the bike.
The lithium-ion battery and motor are made by Blue Stone New Power and are part of the NUPO platform developed to support electrical systems in their entirety: the system should guarantee a range of 150 km.
Looking at the drawings, it is clear how the battery not only acts as a stressed element of the chassis but that it is designed to allow you to create around it a variety of vehicles of different extraction, depending on the components that are then mounted on the different attachments present on the alloy “case” of the same. A “modular” solution already seen on other electric motorcycles, such as the Harley-Davidson LiveWire S2 del Mar.
Included in the NUPO package there is also the part relating to the management of the electronics and the various electrical devices on the motorcycle. The instrumentation is a 7 ”color display through which to activate not only the communication between the members of the local police force but also between them, the control center and the database from which to obtain all the information in the archive.
Among the various specifications present on the drawings, the motorcycle weight of 496 pounds, equivalent to 225 kg: not a few if you think about the performances in the game similar to those of a 300, but justifiable by all the components that will be mounted for the specific needs of the police.
As for the electric controls on the handlebar, there are buttons to activate the siren, the flashing lights, the camera, the three driving modes and also reverse.
