In this Tuesday’s edition (14) of Live UOL, I commented on the statement by President Jair Bolsonaro, who told entrepreneurs that he is not good at the position he holds and that he had nothing to be where he is. At the opening of the Brazil Investment Forum in São Paulo, Bolsonaro said that he was born to be a military man and that he entered politics by chance.
When saying that he is not good at what he does, the president speaks with knowledge of the facts about something that he dominates a lot and that no one knows better than he does: himself. A statement that even a card-carrying lulista will agree with and that must also be accepted by bolsonaristas, who do everything the master tells them to do.
But in saying that he was born for a military career, Bolsonaro forgets a detail: it was lacking to combine this with the Army. Former low-ranking immediate superiors have already said that they were very concerned about Jair’s delusions of grandeur, with lack of efficiency, incivility towards colleagues, insubordination and financial ambition.
In this edition of Live UOL, we also talk about the apology made by the Embassy of Brazil, in the United Kingdom, to Dom Phillips’ family; about Lula’s statement, who said he did not believe that Bolsonaro could have asked the US president for help to win the elections and Collor’s pre-candidacy for the government of Alagoas.
Alongside Felipe Moura Brasil, I debate the country’s main issues daily, from 5 pm to 6 pm, with live broadcast on UOL’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter profiles.
