I’m 36,573 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, June 16, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also another 64 deaths.
The processed swabs are 194,676 which show a positivity rate of 18.9%. 192 are hospitalized in intensive care, three fewer than yesterday, while 4,303 are hospitalized with symptoms, 85 more than yesterday.

LOMBARDY – There are 5,438 new coronavirus infections registered today, June 16, in Lombardy and 7 deaths, thus bringing the total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic to 40,698. The swabs carried out are 29,812 while the positive / test ratio stands at 18.2%. Intensive care admissions are decreasing: they are 18 (-1) while those in ordinary wards are increasing: they are 505 (+12).
There are 2,096 new Covid positives recorded in the province of Milan in the last 24 hours, of which 1,016 in the city of Milan. This was communicated by the Lombardy Region. As for the other provinces of Lombardy, 348 new cases are recorded in Bergamo, in Brescia 596, in Como 275, in Cremona 165, in Lecco 246, in Lodi 94, in Mantua 214, in the province of Monza and Brianza 573, in Pavia 312, in Sondrio 67 and in Varese 234.
TUSCANY – There are 1,902 new coronavirus infections today June 16, 2022 in Tuscany, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region anticipated on Telegram by Governor Eugenio Giani. The new positive cases were detected on 10,408 tests of which 1,467 molecular swabs and 8,941 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 18.27% (69.9% on first diagnoses).
CALABRIA – There are 838 new covid infections in Calabria according to today’s bulletin, June 16. There is also another death. 4,235 swabs carried out in the last 24 hours, +959 healed, the total number of deaths in the region rises to 2,639. The bulletin also records -122 currently positive, +6 hospitalizations (for a total of 141) and, finally, +3 intensive care (for a total of 5).
ABRUZZO – There are 892 new coronavirus infections today 16 June 2022 in Abruzzo, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. There are another 3 deaths. The new cases of positivity bring the total from the beginning of the emergency – net of realignments – to 414046. The death toll records 3 new cases (a 78 year old and an 89 year old from the province of Teramo, while the third case dates back to last days) and rises to 3356. The number of positive cases also includes 393136 discharged / healed (+672 compared to yesterday). The currently positives in Abruzzo are 17554 (+217 compared to yesterday).
