As anticipated at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase event, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was delayed and will arrive sometime in 2023. Today, GSC Game World, the studio responsible for the game, confirmed the above but what gave the note was his update on the status of the study and the project.
They confirm the delay of STALKER 2 but the important thing is the lives of the creators
GSC Game World today conducted an exercise in transparency and honesty that has rarely been seen in the industry. This after sharing a video with the STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl dev diary that actually shows what happened to the team after the war started. The material reports the suspension in the development process, the sudden decision-making to safeguard the integrity of the workers and their families, as well as the participation of some members as volunteers to help citizens and others who enrolled in the army and today they do not play games, but fight the invading forces of Russia.
It’s been 111 days since the war broke into our home, changing everything and everyone around. GSC Game World is a Ukrainian company, so our story is alike.https://t.co/jeNu3TLRs7#GoodHuntingStalker #CheckPDA #GSC #stalker2 #devhighlight

Although the situation is very complicated and more so because there are GSC Game World workers who do not even know how their loved ones are doing, the studio remained committed to STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl and its release next year on Xbox, PC and Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass. Proof of this was the presentation of a new trailer that shows the beginning of this story of survival, strategy and combat.
