Although Dacia has been profiling itself for decades as an absolute budget brand, the brand is letting itself go this year. Because with the arrival of a new brand identity (read: new logo, vision and house style), there is also room for an extensive refresher. As a result, all products in the range are suddenly given a facelift. In the case of the Duster at least strange, because it is only last year (2021) since Dacia gave its crossover a refresh.
It’s in the details
Indeed, for the second year in a row, the Duster gets a facelift. And although Dacia doesn’t really use the term “facelift”, we shouldn’t be stupid about it. Because there are certainly significant differences to be found. Starting with the logos all around. From the summer of 2022, Dacia will equip its models with the new DC logo at the front, while you can read “Dacia” written on the boot lid. In addition, a new color – Lichen Kaki – is also present and the roof rails, fenders and mirrors are now available in Monolith Gray.
Freshened up outside? Then it is best to immediately update the interior. And that is – again – strange, given that Duster already got a facelift last year. Nevertheless, there is room for a new logo on the handlebars and reworked ventilation mouths. The round examples of yesteryear make way for more modern elongated ones. The 8-inch infotainment system seems to benefit from new software that reworks the colorful things from before into darker blocks.
Up to 150 hp
Motor (and mechanical) Dacia does not make any changes. As a result, you can still rely on a range of petrol and diesel engines up to 150 hp strong. From June 16 you can order the refreshed Duster at the local dealer.
