Bucci: “In 2024 Genoa will host an international event dedicated to shipping suppliers”
Genoa – “In the period 1 January / 14 June 2019 the number of calls of cruise ships in Italy was 1,571 units. Over the same period of time, in 2022 there were 1,628 touches. Compared to the pre-pandemic period, Italy hosted 56 more stopovers, reflecting the strong recovery of the sector “.
This was stated, on the sidelines of the Clia event underway in Genoa, Sergio Senesi (Cemar Agency Network).
“In our April report presented at Seatrade in Miami we had foreseen 4,833 stopovers in Italy, which now are 4,905. Of course we are not yet able to quantify the number of passengers handled, but this data is already very important for the sector and for Italian ports “.
