One of the August games could have been leaked through the PlayStation Store.
The new PlayStation Plus service it’s giving enough to talk about. Although its direct competition with Xbox GamePass is yet to be seen, because it is not currently implemented globally. This does not mean that we already know some of its most striking functions, such as the fact that Stray, the game where we embody a cat in a cyberpunk world, will arrive on the PlayStation Plus service on day one. Now, thanks to a little oversight from the PlayStation Store, we can theorize which will be one of the games that will include this service in the coming month of August.
Rollerdrome could arrive in August as a free PlayStation Plus game
It all starts when a user named Modiz, through the Resetera website specialized in spreading leaks about the video game industry, published that the PlayStation web store had set the launch of the video game Rollerdrome for 12pm east coast (18:00 in Spain). This time is of interest because normally almost all PlayStation games are published at midnight. Instead, Rollerdrome share release time with Stray, which will be published at 11 a.m. EDT (5 p.m. CST). From this it can be deduced that if Stray will arrive on PlayStation Plus on day one, Rollerdrome will also go through the same plan.
Rollerdrome is a third-person shooter that combines shooting action with the precision and agility of performing tricks on roller skates, giving us a mix between the shooters with which we could find in a Tony Hawk Pro Staker. The game is scheduled to be released on August 16, although in the case of reaching the PlayStation service, this will possibly be announced at the beginning of the month.
PS5 exceeds 20 million consoles sold, promising to increase its stock
Although this is just a rumor that has some veracity due to verifiable data, yes we can intuit that PlayStation will bet heavily on offering games from its launch day in your service to be able to compete directly with Xbox and its GamePass. In addition to this, we know that Sony is willing to offer a few full years, such as the remake of Resident Evil 4which was one of the many announcements made public through the State of Play that took place on June 2.
