Many have chosen to be present in the church of the small town, for the last farewell to Giulia Maiano, the 13-month-old girl who died while on vacation. The mayor has decided to arrange the city mourning and also to close the traffic in the street where her funeral would be celebrated.
The whole community these days has tried to show affection and closeness to his family, struck by such a sudden and heartbreaking loss.
The entrance in church it was reserved only for parents, family members and closest friends. Near the little girl’s white coffin were all the people who have it loved more and that they never expected to experience such a thing.
Many also attended the mass representatives of the institutions, just to show closeness to the family. The parish priest, in his homily he said:
The silence that has accompanied the tragedy of Giulia’s loss in recent days speaks, it is not a silent silence, but it is full of memories, full of feelings, of experiences, of lived moments. Those who wait in silence are not disappointed, they do not lag behind but find peace.
At the exit of the coffin, a moved crowd wanted clap for the little girl and they also made lots of them fly to the sky white balloons.
The dramatic death of little Giulia Maiano
The tragedy of this little girl of only 13 months took place last Wednesday 18 May. She was on vacation with her parents at the Nubian Village resort, a Sharm El Sheik. In reality, the family lives in Pianella, a town in the province of Pescara.
The little girl was among the arms of the father. They went out onto the balcony of their room which was on the third floor. However, due to a sudden movement, she has lost her balance and is precipitated in the void.
When the doctors arrived, however, there was nothing more for her to do. Unfortunately it is died instantly for trauma reported after the fall. The family in those days remained in Egypt, waiting to have the clearance to bring the body back to Italy.
