NAPLES, 29 MAY – He first stole the gun from a security guard, then used the weapon to fire at a group of young people parked in front of a bar in Qualiano (Naples). He hit four, two of them severely. It happened around midnight, and after a few hours the carabinieri stopped him: it is Marco Bevilacqua, 37, already known to the police. Investigations are made to ascertain the reasons for the gesture, which according to a first hypothesis would be connected to a dispute that Bevilacqua would have had in recent days with the group of young people. The shooting took place in front of the Nirvana Spritz bar, in via Fratelli Rosselli. Bevilacqua threatened the security guard with a knife to have his gun delivered, then went to the bar on an electric bike that he also used to get away after having exploded several bullets. Of the four young people affected, two are hospitalized with a confidential prognosis, and according to the doctors they are in danger of life. One is kept in hospital for observation but is not serious, the fourth has been medicated and discharged. Bevilacqua has a history of drug offenses, robbery and extortion. In 2016 he was arrested by the carabinieri at the end of a chase of about ten kilometers: he had not stopped at a halt because he was driving, without a license, a car without insurance coverage.
