It is the day of Pedro Acosta. The Spanish talent won his first Moto2 race and is the youngest to do so. A solo victory after battling Canet for several laps, until Canet crashes.
This victory is a beautiful gift that Pedro has given himself for the just turned 18 years old (on May 25).
Second has arrived Joe Roberts and third Ai Ogura. First of the Italians Tony Arbolino, fourth, and responsible for an incorrect maneuver that led to the fall of Sam Lowes and the related Long lap penalty for Tony. Lowes was enraged with teammate: it happens, mistakes that can happen.
What a pity Celestino Vietti!
C.elestino Vietti, started fourth, he slipped ninth then climbed up to third position: another good race in vain from a mechanical problem with a few laps to go when Vietti seemed to have the attack on Roberts in the barrel for the second position. Pity.
The other Italians: Mattia Pasini 15th, Niccolò Antonelli 18th, Alessandro Zaccone 19th. In addition to Vietti, Simone Corsi and Lorenzo Dalla Porta retired.
In general classification Vietti is still first with 108 points, but reached by Ai Ogura. Third remains Canet with 89 points. Arbolino fourth with 83. Acosta is still far away with 45 points.
