Jens Petter Hauge moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from AC Milan in the summer. Now the SGE has exercised the purchase option for the Norwegian.
As Eintracht announced in a press release on Saturday morning, Hauge will sign a contract until 2026. The Hessians did not provide any information about the amount of the purchase option. It can be assumed that the 22-year-old will cost around seven to eight million euros. The market value of the midfield player is also in this range.
Hauge made 38 competitive appearances in his debut season, but mostly oscillated between the starting eleven and the substitutes’ bench and often acted as a first substitute. In total, the Norwegian international scored three goals and two assists.
Hauge also made an important contribution to the much-celebrated Europa League win. The versatile offensive man was used in twelve out of 13 possible games and was substituted on in the final after 70 minutes. In the group stage, Hauge scored the winning goal in injury time against Olympiacos Piraeus in the fourth game to ensure early progress to the knockout phase.
It has been reported several times in the past that Eintracht not only has a purchase option for Hauge. Rather, there would be an obligation to buy if the Frankfurters achieve relegation. In the official press release on the club’s website, the eagle bearers speak of an activated purchase option.
