The Gup issued the sentence for the owner and set up of the Carnival float, after the death of little Gianlorenzo Manchisi
The death of the little one Gianlorenzo Manchisi dates back to 5 March 2019, when the 2-year-old child fell from a Carnival float in the historic center of Bologna, during a parade.

The Gup Claudio Paris issued the first sentence against Paolo Canellini, the owner and builder of the Carnival float. The decision is to one year and six months for manslaughter, with conditional suspension. The defendant’s defense attorney has made it known that he is requesting an appeal.
The Gup also ordered the sums of 300 thousand for the father of the little Gianlorenzo Manchisi and of 190 thousand euros for the brother. The parent, after the sentence, wanted to leave some statements, through which he expressed his thoughts about him:
