The Shiro Games game has been in Early Access for just under a month and has already amassed a large number of players.
We already knew that the Dune universe draws the attention of all audiences, but we did not imagine the incredible debut that it has achieved in the world of video games with Dune: Spice Wars. At the moment, the RTS is only available in Early Access via Steam, but that doesn’t mean the Shiro Games team is done with their work. Something that shows us with a roadmap full of news for the coming months.
Summer updates will implement multiplayer and a new factionThe developers have shared plans that include the long-awaited multiplayer mode, more advanced units, and other surprises that will continue to be implemented over time. For now, Shiro Games has already confirmed two summer updates that will include the ability to play with other users and a new eligible faction. The release date of said content has not yet been specified, so we will be attentive to the developer’s social networks.
And what is beyond the summer? Shiro Games is also reportedly preparing patches that will expand the game’s options with new advanced units, though fans of the franchise will rejoice at the introduction of some familiar faces acting as councillors. In turn, these characters can be used as special agents or, if we prefer, they can enter the battlefield as combat units with unique abilities. As for the release date of these updates, Shiro Games has not shared specific windows, so we will be waiting to know their future plans.
Beyond this, Dune: Spice Wars prepares more surprises for your future. The developer warns that all the content mentioned so far may change depending on the response of the players, as they want to create an experience that suits the tastes of fans of the strategy. In this way, Shiro Games invites us to follow their social networks to be aware of all the updates related to their RTS.
Dune: Spice Wars has managed to combine a passion for video game strategy with a universe rich in stories and content, so we are not surprised to learn that its proposal, always faithful to the original work, is convincing a large group of players . After all, we have already tried the Shiro Games title and we can say that, although it is still in Early Access, it is the RTS we need for the franchise.
