Console reviews are something that is becoming more and more common in the video game industry. This is why many believe that the arrival of a PlayStation 5 Pro and a more powerful Xbox Series is inevitable. While Sony and Microsoft have remained tight-lipped about whether or not they plan a revision, one display, phone and tech brand has come forward to say it’s coming relatively soon.
It just so happens that TCL, a company that has gained popularity for its diverse lineup of TVs, had a presentation where it talked about its future. In it he put a timeline on some of the technological advances he expects for the next few years.
There it caught the attention that a couple of things stood out: the first was the launch of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X | S in November 2020. Added to this is that it is expected at some point in 2023 or 2024 to debut the 9.5 generation of consoles with the premiere of the PlayStation 5 and a new member of the Xbox Series family.

Will we see a PS5 Pro and a new Xbox Series?
According to TCL, this revision of the new generation of consoles will have UHD 8K video output and support for playing games at 60 and 120 frames per second. It also mentions that it will be able to render games at 2160p, instead of 1440p as they mention the current generation does.
Thinking about a review of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X for 2023 or 2024 is not far-fetched at all. After all, by then both consoles will be 3 or 4 years old and the revisions of the last generation debuted in a similar period. That said, console scarcity, low console availability, and the slow start of next-gen consoles has caused many to believe that it’s too soon.
Of course, it must be taken into account that this could well be simply an estimate of TCL and that the plans of Sony and Microsoft are completely different. We reiterate that neither company has revealed plans for a revision of any of its consoles.
What do you think about this new? Do you think we will see the new PlayStation 5 and the next Xbox Series next year? Tell us in the comments.
