The HRC team determined to revive the fortunes of a World Cup on the sly. “I know that by continuing to work with the team we will be able to return to our potential”

THEMugello has been the scene of alternating performances for Marc Marquez: in 2013, on his debut in the premier class, he fell in pursuit of teammate Dani Pedrosa (after the frightening accident on the straight during qualifying), while in 2014 he won one of the victories that led him to give life to the longest winning streak of the history of MotoGP. Since then, however, Marquez has never won on the Tuscan track. The best result of Pol Espargaro in the premier class he was fifth in 2014.
“Mugello is always a great track, very fast and … when you go straight on a MotoGP bike, it’s an incredible feeling” Marquez commented. “We will see what we can aim for this weekend – we have to start testing and understand the general situation and our position well. I know that by continuing to work with the team and with Honda we can return to the positions that correspond to our potential.”
“Last year at Mugello we had some difficulties, so I hope the Italian GP will be a little easier this year” echoed Espargaro. “I continued to train to the maximum at home, to be ready: in France we couldn’t get what we wanted, so the goal is obviously to try again here in Italy. We have two races and a test in just two weeks, we will pass a lot of time in the saddle and that’s a great thing for us. Let’s get to work. “
