The lack of playing opportunities that Hector Bellerin got made him decide to leave Arsenal, the Spanish defender then joined Real Betis on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season.
With Betis, Bellerin is quite reliable by Manuel Pellegrini, he has successfully appeared in 32 matches with a score of five assists. He also managed to help his team end the season in fifth position while winning the Copa del Rey.
Now that the 2021/22 season has officially ended, Bellerin was also scheduled to return to Arsenal, but he refused and made it clear that he wanted to stay at Estadio Benito Villamarin.

“I have taken a decision that seems very clear, both for Real Betis and Arsenal. I want to stay at Betis,” Bellerin said as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
“Now we have two months to find the best solution. I worked hard to get here, now I am ready to try my best to stay at Betis,” he added.
Arsenal has indeed become a club that has loaned some of its players in the 2021/22 season, not only Bellerin, they also loaned William Saliba to Marseille.
