Celestino Vietti can’t wait to race at Mugello

Green light on perhaps the most anticipated race of the first part of the 2022 season for Celestino Vietti Ramus and Niccolò Antonelli who this Sunday (12.20 pm CET ed) will race the Italian GP on the Mugello track. An atmosphere of expectation for both of them with the aim of doing well in front of the home crowd who returns to color the stands of the Tuscan circuit, one of the most loved by drivers.

In the points zone in France after a complicated GP and fresh from the demanding test session at Misano Adriatico last week, Celestino aims to return among the protagonists from the first free practice sessions to confirm the lead of the general in a crucial phase of the Championship with two consecutive trips in just 15 days (next race, June 5th Catalan GP ed).

Niccolò continues to recover from surgery on his arm, also at work on the Kalex at Misano, and ready to mend the gap right in front of the Italian public. It will be essential for him to complete the long run of the race to better evaluate his physical conditions in view of the future.

“The joy of racing at Mugello this year will be even greater. The crowd is there at Mugello, and it is really a great return. The motivations to do well and be fast throughout the weekend are even greater even afterwards. the test at Misano. I love the upper part of the track: the Correntaio and the exit of the second Curva dell’Arrabbiata. On a technical level, I know I think of it like many other riders: the Casanova-Savelli and Arrabbiata 1 sequence is truly the top ” , said Celestino Vietti.
