The title is in an unknown state of development.
The seventh generation of consoles brought us what is one of the great plot works in the history of video gamesthis being Bioshock, a video game saga that had three installments and Ken Levine as the main person in charge.
Since then, it must be said that a lot has happened, since Irrational Ganes, the studio in charge of the saga, ended up closing, leading this to the fact that currently two parallel projects are being developed: a new Bioshock by Take Two and an independent project by Levine. And in both cases it must be said that we hardly know anything about the games.
Bioshock 4 is an absolute mystery today
However, it seems that we know something new about Bisohock 4, since a job offer from Cloud Chamber would have given new details about its gameplay, although without giving too much information about it.
In this way, in the aforementioned offer it is mentioned that they are looking for a combat design lead skilled and experienced in this aspect of gaming. In fact, it is mentioned that the person chosen for said position will be an example to follow for the rest of the study.
Despite everything, what is interesting comes when it is mentioned that work is being done on an immersive sandboxwhich could imply that the next installment of Bioshock, unlike the previous ones that chose to be games with a linear structure, it would be an open world.
It will be necessary to see what role this person should play, already in the field, but it seems that in the development studio they are treating him as an open world IP, this being something that could collide with the narrative that characterizes the saga so much.
Be that as it may, we will have to continue waiting for any type of official information from any of those responsible, since the development of Bioshock 4 is being one of the longest that are remembered within the video game industry. We’ll have to cross our fingers for it to work out.
