Thomas Doll may have just been appointed by Persija Jakarta as the new coach. However, he has targeted three new players to be brought in this summer’s transfer market.
Before arriving in Indonesia, Doll analyzed Persija’s performance throughout last season. Doll admits that she knows what weaknesses are in her squad and which positions require additional strength.
Doll herself has spoken with Persija’s management about bringing in three new players. However, until now Doll still doesn’t want to divulge who the target player is.
“We do need new players of good quality for central defenders, midfielders who are maybe like number eights and strikers,” said Doll as quoted by Goal.
Persija also currently has three foreign player slots, following the departures of Marko Simic, Rohit Chand, and Marco Motta. The only foreign player owned by Macan Kemayoran is Makan Konate.
