One of the most evident historical-statistical data that is being confirmed in recent years concerns the lower competitiveness of the Italian championship, and we are not referring only to the fact that the Milan was imposed after the Scudetto had always been won by only two teams in the previous 10 years (which has never happened in Serie A history), but we are alluding to the situation that has arisen from the season 1993-94that is, since the matches of the Italian top league began to be broadcast by the so-called pay-TV.
In the 62 Serie A championships in a single round, played from 1929-30 to 1992-93they won the Scudetto 12 different teamsof which 8 at least twice. The 3 big (Inter, Juventus and Milan), in that period, they won, together, 41 titlesnamely the 67% on the total (in practice, 2 championships out of 3 on average).
In the following 29 Serie A championshipsdisputed from 1993-94on the other hand, they only won the championship 5 different teamsof which only 3 at least twice. In this respect we must highlight how the only 3 teams to have won the title at least twice in this period (i.e. the three big Inter, Juventus and Milan) have won together well 27 titles (one of which revoked), namely the 93% of the total —> CLICK TO SEE THE TABLE WITH THE HISTORICAL COMPARISON
