New on streaming week 21: Moonbase 8, Sophie Cross, and Ricky Gervais: Supernature

Two of the biggest series of the year appear on the same day: Netflix will release the new season of Stranger Things on Friday (see the review on this page), while Disney+ will simultaneously be betting on Obi-Wan Kenobi (see page C6). This American comedy series is about three mediocre astronauts who try to qualify for a moon mission with NASA. The lead roles are played by comedians Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker and John C. Reilly. The trio also conceived the series.

Sophie Cross

French-language crime series about a former criminal lawyer who now works for the police. The disappearance of her son still casts a shadow over the lives of Sophie Cross (Alexia Barlier) and her husband Thomas, who also works for the police. In the first episode, we see Cross working on her first case. After a collision, a body is found in the back of the car of a well-known dealer.

Ricky Gervais: Supernature

Comedian Ricky Gervais (The Office, After Life) explains the rules of comedy in his new stand-up special.
