At the beginning of the broadcast, the couple indicates that they want a house that is ‘completely finished’, yet the two are overwhelmed by their second viewing: the house in Nuenen. “Maybe it’s itch to choose a DIY house, because you can make it your own place.” Rob and Maurits decide to make an offer for the time being and become the new owners of the house with an amount of 385,000 euros. Since they originally have a budget of 415,000 euros, a nice amount remains to completely renovate the house from the inside.
Three months after they have received their key, Natasja Froger comes by to see how the renovation has gone. The presenter is impressed by what she sees. “What a mega difference. Unrecognizable! It’s not normal, so beautiful as it has become.” Rob and Maurits are also proud of the result, but will have to rest a lot in the coming period after all the work. “We will never do a DIY house again”, they conclude.
Not only Natasja is impressed by ‘the little palace’ of Rob and Maurits, but the viewers are also positively surprised. ‘Roos van Buy Without Watching just got some serious styling competition.’ Another agrees and writes: ‘Ros eat your heart out!’ Another viewer calls the house ‘mighty beautifully beautiful’.
