Unfortunately, a pro player from DOTA 2 he accuses his club of firing him for a reason that has already caused outrage.
This week, Team SMG made it known via Twitter that Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross will no longer be a part of the team’s roster. In his post, he appreciated the professional player’s enthusiasm, hard work, and dedication, but did not reveal the reasons behind his departure.

The controversy, however, did not take long to rear its head. It just so happens that Michael Ross responded to his now-former esports group’s tweet and demanded that they share the real reason they kicked him out. In a separate post, it was he who revealed the alleged cause behind his dismissal.

Through a publication on his personal Twitter account, the professional player of DOTA 2 He claimed that Team SMG fired him due to his mother’s terminal illness. This is because, supposedly, his personal problem could have negative repercussions on his competitive performance.
“They expelled me because my mom was in her last days and they assumed it would affect my performance. I knew for a long time that this day would come; since she had stage 4 cancer. She passed away on Monday. Imagine being fired from a job because you are about to lose a loved one.”

The professional of DOTA 2 He delved deeper into the topic, sharing that prior to taking a flight to join a training camp with the team, his mother suffered a stroke as a result of her terminal cancer. Despite wanting to compete, she asked his club if she could change the date of her flight to spend time with his mom, although the answer she got was not what she expected.
According to Michael Ross, Team SMG held a meeting without him in which the decision was made to expel him because his mother’s health condition could affect his performance.

As expected, this situation caused outrage on social networks. While dozens of users showed solidarity and shared words of encouragement towards the professional player, others attacked the esports group.
