Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is easily one of the best installments in the franchise and one of the most influential open world titles in the gaming industry. Despite the bad taste in our mouths that its remastered version that debuted last year left us, we still really want to see a remake that allows us to revisit the irreverent adventures of Carl Johnson on the new generation consoles.
Although it seems that a full-fledged remake of the video game is far from being a reality, a talented user wanted to get ahead of Rockstar Games and created a recreation of the sandbox video game in Unreal Engine 5. Spoiler alert: the result is impressive and will take your breath away .
This Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas tech demo made in Unreal Engine 5 is awesome
Through his YouTube channel, the modder TeasterPlay shared his most recent project: a recreation of Grove Street in the new version of Epic Games’ impressive graphics engine. Thus, we can see that the mythical street of GTA: San Andreas look better than ever thanks to high-resolution textures and realistic lighting effects, reflections, and more.
Likewise, the user used the hyperrealistic 3D model made by the artist Hossein Diba of Carl Johnson, protagonist of the original video game. Everything as a whole results in an amazing technical demo that leaves us wanting to see an official remake made by Rockstar Games.
TeasterPlay made it very clear that it is not looking for its project to become a real game, so it only limited itself to recreating the mythical street where CJ lives and other elements such as cars, NPCs, etc. Of course, we already have an idea of what a remake would look like in the form of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Will it ever be real? Only time will tell.
