Fans lashes out at Sora’s cameo in Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers
You should know that Sora does not appear as such in Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, but there is a cameo showing her hair and her iconic hairstyle that fans instantly recognized. The problem started when some players realized that the design shown by Disney coincides with the one made by a fan long ago.
The Twitter user known as NipahDUBS shared a finding that surprised many: the design used in the film matches a fan art that kimbolie12 made and shared on DeviantArt in 2015. A thorough comparison was made and it was concluded that It is the same drawing.
So some fans lashed out at Disney for using a fan’s work without giving them credit or payment for their work. In addition, they claimed him for not reusing an official design or making a new one, because in the end they are the owners of the franchise.
Other people believe that it is something exaggerated, since Sora has had different hair designs over the years and some of them could also coincide with the one shown in Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers. As of this writing, the company has not commented on the matter.
Yeah, its a quick thing from a background easter egg but still sucks for the artist to have their work taken like this. Just bummed that we get another KH cameo from Disney and ends up like this.

I saw enough people calling them not similar so I did a comparison using some photo editing software to verify. I’m typically gonna go to bat for Disney but to like all the people saying they’re not similar idk my guys. Looks pretty damning. pic.twitter.com/JlQe8BvELl

It’s Sora’s hair, there aren’t many variations, so there will always be some similarities in works. But judging from those 2 pics, it’s not a direct trace, there are differences in angles and curvatures of the hair style+ lighting

It’s fan art, tho.
Just because they own the character, doesn’t mean they have the right to use someone’s fan art without crediting.
