Twitch has a ban and moderation policy that every streamer has ever feared. On occasion, content creators have been sanctioned by the platform for no clear reason or for reasons they consider unfair.
The streamer known as Abelina Sabrina recently got a surprise, because the platform banned her for something she thought was harmless: reading a novel in a live show she did in the Just Chatting category. She made her case known on social networks and, as you can imagine, it caught the attention of many people.

Twitch bans a streamer… for reading a novel?
The book in question is Ice Planet Barbarians, written by Ruby Dixon. It is a science fiction novel, but full of romance and some erotic touches. The streamer read some excerpts and gave her opinion on this type of literature.
The problem is that Twitch considered the content racy, so it sanctioned the streamer for the snippets she read. Abelina Sabrina was totally surprised, as she received a notice where she was warned of her alleged “sexually suggestive conduct”.
Instead of lashing out at the company, the content creator decided to use the situation to her advantage. So she uploaded a video to her YouTube channel where she talks about this type of adult literature and how they have “ruined” her life.
His followers also took the situation with humor, but many were surprised by the way moderation works on Twitch. Especially since the platform has categories like Hot Tub, where much more explicit content is usually offered.
